Thirteen years after his first release and emergence in the South American electronic music scene, Barrio Lindo presents a new EP - the first chapter of a new series.

After exploring a completely acoustic sound in his last release “Espuma de Mar” (2022), this new EP ecdysis represents a shift in Barrio Lindo’s sound, and a return to being inspired by the dancefloor. The release, while predominantly electronic, combines organic and psychedelic elements, reflecting a fascination for science and the mysteries of nature.

This EP was produced between 2024-2025, with the song ideas evolving and maturing during live sets performed in the last year.

Arpeggios, shifting bass lines, processed Andean strings and precise percussions are part of ecdysis' sonic palette, which finds inspiration in music from all over the world. From Caribbean sounds, through Arabic scales and Dabke sounds, to hip-hop beats.
