Generation X were born out of the English punk era of 1976 from the ashes of the band Chelsea, and featured Billy Idol and Tony James who achieved both solo and group success throughout the decade and beyond.
Recorded in one week in a converted garage with producer Martin Rushent (The Stranglers, Buzzcocks, Human League), this debut showcased the cleaner sound, with more focused vocals, with the band often cited as pioneers of the pop-punk genre. An underrated album at the time, it stands as a snapshot of the era. Breaking into the UK album top at the time, it featured the single "Ready Steady Go." This standard version is presented in black vinyl.
